DGA is a reputable gymnastics academy dedicated to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through gymnastics. Our facility offers a wide range of programs designed to enhance physical skills, boost confidence, and foster a love for gymnastics in individuals of all ages. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Gymnastics Coach to join our team and lead our recreational classes, with a specific requirement of availability on Saturdays.
Position Overview:
As a Recreational Classes Gymnastics Coach, you will be responsible for instructing and guiding participants in our recreational gymnastics classes. Your role will involve designing lesson plans, teaching fundamental gymnastics skills, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment, and motivating participants to reach their full potential. This position requires availability on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the skill levels and abilities of participants in recreational gymnastics classes.
- Teach proper techniques and skills, including but not limited to tumbling, balance beam, vault, and uneven bars.
- Ensure the safety of participants by enforcing proper safety protocols and spotting techniques during class activities.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to foster skill development and confidence in participants.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individuals with different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized gymnastics area, ensuring equipment is properly set up and stored.
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and other staff members regarding class schedules, progress, and any concerns or updates.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required to enhance coaching skills and stay up-to-date with industry standards.
- Uphold the values and mission of our gymnastics academy, promoting a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching recreational gymnastics classes, preferably with a range of age groups.
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, skills, and progressions.
- Ability to provide clear instruction and demonstrations of gymnastics skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated passion for working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Availability to work on Saturdays, as well as flexibility to accommodate occasional schedule changes or additional hours during peak periods.
